So, coverups are really fun to work on! The changing of something that makes you super unhappy to a complete make over of that area of your body.

This particular piece had an older tattoo we were working on (located underneath the larger flower) that I encouraged the client to get lightened with laser work. She went about 7 times ,if I remember correctly, and was able to get it just light enough that working over it was possible. If you are interested in getting a coverup keep in mind that dark colors cover dark colors. We cannot work a light color over a dark one.

 

So, I’ve started the drawing and outline of some beautiful flowers called Meadowfoam (Limnanthes gracilis). They ‘cover meadows like froth and often mingle with downingia in moist areas and grassy openings’. After I’m done with the tattoo I’ll  be finishing the drawing and selling prints.
